Claire Fitzpatrick has earned her Certification in Meeting Management (CMM) as well as being a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP). These designations along with a Business Administration Degree from St. Francis Xavier University and a Festivals and Events Management Certificate from Algonquin College reinforce Claire's commitment to keeping current in the meetings industry.

While in the public service, she maintained budgets and coordinated priority setting workshops for national budgeting needs for the Airports and Air Navigation Systems Directorates of Transport Canada. She still maintains Security clearance with the Federal Government.

Her work in coordinating conferences and events began as a part-time endeavour in 1998 but quickly evolved into a full-time career in large part through word of mouth and demand for Claire’s expertise and talents.

In recent years she has taken charge of a number of major international conferences for the International Development Research Centre, Carleton University and the Canadian International Development Agency.

“Claire joined our planning team on short notice and was able to take charge of the crucial elements of event management.  Claire clearly demonstrated her ability to respond to the needs of high-level participants (such as former African heads of state and senior UN officials).  She also showed her ability to conduct business in an international and cross-cultural business setting, where tactful and effective communication is critical.”
